The makers of Olde Kentuckie Buttermilk Biscuits created the ready-to-bake biscuit can we know and love. Their company was acquired by Ballard, who made the products widely popular. In the 1940s, Pillsbury acquired Ballard, the Doughboy gave each biscuit a hug and the rest is biscuit history.
