Superlative Flour

Before Gold Medal Flour won its first gold medal in 1880, it was branded Washburn-Crosby Co’s Superlative Flour. This trade card advertises the brand as the “Best in the World.”

Gold Medal Cake Flour debuted in 1923 as way to help correct your three great troubles in cake-making.

Sperry Flour Prints

Here is a print of Sperry’s Duck Lily Baker’s Flour. This was used to brand the flour sacks before they went out to market.

Gold Medal Flour was exported throughout the world very early. This 1907 advertisement promotes Washburn-Crosby Co.’s Gold Medal in Germany.
